Market night on Facebook- Friday 9pm EST

9pm EST on facebook

I once heard that trying something new is a part of Growing and Living Life to the Fullest!

On that Note... I have decided to try a market night! I have given my facebook supporters the first chance to bag a few of the left over Items from the Weekend Market!
These are some of the Items that are up for grabs....
* Whimsy headbands

Woodland Tea Party

I just love Tea parties and woodland creatures.. just like many of you out there ! One day an idea came to me.. what if I combine the 2.. creating precious little things with these 2 themes in mind. With a little bit if whimsy and a hint of Victorian Inspiration I set to work. I have started my collection with a few singlets which are featured on my Etsy site here:

www.etsy.com/shop/WhimsicalTeapot

They are super girly, super cute and just ooze Victorian bliss. I have used up-cycled vintage sheet material, clothing and antique doilies combined with a few modern fabrics. There is something about mixing old with new that really makes a unique piece! Each appliqué is hand stitched and embroidered. Many hours of creative love have gone into each one.

"These singlets were made for tea parties and picnics, days spent on meadow adventures and playing Victorian garden parties with teddybears and dolls".

Another inspiration hit me whilst reading my little boy a storybook. It was by one of my favourite authors and illustrators Shirley Barber. For those of you that are unfamiliar with her work.. Shirley writes amazing stories about cute little Rabbits deer and gnomes getting up to all kinds of mischief and crazy adventures. My favourite is Tales from Martha B Rabbit Her illustrations are beautiful and so inspiring. Every child should have at least one copy of these precious books at home.. They are just darling.

Magical world of creations.. My Etsy shop and a pocket full of dreams

I have always been 1) Imaginative  2) creative and 3) a dreamer..... As long as I can remember... With a pocket full of dreams and skills I have acquired since stitching some sweet little Softies whilst pregnant with our little Bodhi.

While Pregnant I was obsessed with the idea that I was going to create "The perfect baby room" Completely by hand making and collecting treasures from Op shops and furniture from ikea etc.. Most of these Ideas I developed through an extensive and complete search of Google, which presented me with a Bevy of beautiful and Magazine worthy baby rooms that I am sure would've cost a fortune. Since we were on a strict budget I tried to find the best offers that I could find... The thrill of the hunt had me addicted to Op shops, and before long I had collected a plethora of vintage treasures and furniture to build Bodhis "Dream Nursery". I spent every waking moment hand making toys, wall art, and even Mod Podged the letters of his name for the Nursery. I became a DIY Queen! Or so I thought I was..lol, The Nursery ended up just as I had dreamed, and I entered into a Competition on the Huggies Website... Sadly... No wins :( but the skills I had acquired from making all those little DIY things are with me for life and that is a win-win it itself!

Since then I had a dream.. And that DREAM was...
To open up an ETSY shop and create such beautiful things for Babies and Children alike,  and also for Mums and Mum's to be.

To help them build their Dream Nursery and to make something really special for those little Ladies and Gentleman out there.. The little ones that make our lives complete... And who's smiles are worth all the nights of crappy sleep and overtired arguments with our partners..

Bringing a sense of Nostalgia back into our lives and to go back to those times when a simple storybook can bring such magic and spark amazing creativity...

This is My Dream..

A bit Martin Luther King but HEY.. Who's to stop a DREAMER....
